WHAT IS A VISA VIRTUAL ACCOUNT & WHERE CAN I USE IT?
Visa Virtual Account is an online prepaid Visa number that can be used anywhere card not present Visa transactions are valid. This includes online stores, over the phone or by mail order.
HOW DO VISA VIRTUAL ACCOUNTS WORK?
|Step 1:||Recieve your Visa Virtual Account Code.|
|Step 2:||Visit virtualvc.com.au/Register, enter your details and select "Collect my card"|
|Step 3:||Your card number will be displayed on the screen (write this down) and your Expiry/CVV will be emailed to you.|
|Step 4:||Combine the Card Number, CVV & Expiry to make a purchase.|
HOW LONG IS A VISA VIRTUAL ACCOUNT VALID FOR?
The code you receive to claim your Visa Virtual Account has a variable redemption period which will be communicated at time of purchase or receipt, this validity will differ depending on the program. Contact the firm issuing you the code or call 1300 718 685 to determine the validity period of any Visa Virtual Account voucher codes. Once claimed the Visa Virtual Account validity period is 6 months from date of issue. This expiry is emailed to you once claimed.
CAN I MERGE FUNDS FROM MORE THAN ONE VISA VIRTUAL ACCOUNT?
No. Each Visa Virtual Account has a separate and unique Visa number.
WHAT IF MY VISA VIRTUAL ACCOUNT NUMBER IS LOST OR STOLEN?
If you have lost your Visa Virtual Account number you can view it again by clicking here then re-entering your Claim Code, Surname, Postcode and Date of Birth. We recommend that you keep your Visa Virtual Account numbers in a safe place. You should treat your Visa Virtual Account number and security details with the same protection as you would a physical Visa card or cash.
WHAT IF I LOSE MY SECURITY DETAILS (EXPIRY AND CVV)?
If you have lost your security details (expiry date and CVV) you can login to Visa Virtual Account and request the security details be resent to you. To do this visit virtualvc.com.au/balancecheck then re-enter your Claim Code, Surname, Postcode and Date of Birth.
HOW DO I CHECK MY VISA VIRTUAL ACCOUNT'S AVAILABLE BALANCE?
You can check your Visa Virtual Account's available balance and complete transaction history online, at any time, free of charge. Click on the balance check tab and follow the prompts.
WHAT HAPPENS IF YOUR PURCAHSE EXCEEDS THE AVAILABLE BALANCE OF YOUR VISA VIRTUAL ACCOUNT?
If you attempt to use your Visa Virtual Account for a transaction that is greater than the remaining available balance - the transaction will be declined.

CAN I USE MY VISA VIRTUAL ACCOUNT WITH PAYPAL?
Unfortunately at this time you cannot use a Visa Virtual Account via third party payment sites such as Paypal. Visa Virtual Account cards are for direct Visa transactions only.
